After hearing of several incidents of violence in schools, the staff of
First Call For Help, the Henry County Sheriff, Henry County Superintendents and the Napoleon
High School Student Council worked together to develop a helpline for youth in Northwest Ohio.
They wanted to be assured that kids had a place to call if they had problems or concerns about
their safety at home, at school or in their community. Teen Line was developed and opened in
April of 1999, three weeks before the Columbine incident. Teen Line is available toll free 24
hours a day to provide a confidential helpline staffed by professionals.
Our Mission Statement: Teen Line provides a 24 hour confidential hotline
for youth in Northwest Ohio, to report potential violence, and to provide crisis assistance in
their school, home, and the community to secure a safe environment.
